University of Wisconsin-Madison Badger Diabetes Advocates

Founded in 2011, the Badger Diabetes Advocates are dedicated to fostering a sense of community for college students who have been affected by type 1 diabetes. BDA is committed to raising awareness and spreading knowledge about type 1 diabetes and type 1 diabetes research, while fundraising and donating contributions to JDRF and other organizations that are helping find a cure for type 1 diabetes. BDA is the first student-led organization at UW-Madison paving the way for college students affected by type 1 diabetes and strives to serve as a support system as well as a platform for student-led chronic disease advocacy.

You do not have to have diabetes to join our club. Many of our members are not diabetic but have a family member or friend with type 1 diabetes.
