Type1Hawks serves to offer a place of peace, support, and advocacy on campus and in Iowa City through fellowship, fundraising, and outreach. Our goals for the 2018-2019 school year include continuing to gain membership, begin fundraising, and becoming a place for the fostering of friendships and healthy living.

Our Mission

The University of Iowa Chapter of the College Diabetes Network was founded for the purpose of connecting college students with and affected by Type 1 Diabetes in the hopes that these connections will create a support network which will enable students to fulfill their potential and limit the negative psychological and physical effects of Diabetes.
