Simmons College CDN Chapter

Our chapter is a registered organization on campus. We are a group of Simmons students that organize general body meetings 1-2 times a semester, we meet for "coffee chats" on our academic campus, and plan for larger events. For instance, in 2016 we had a diabetic alert dog come to visit and to present on the significance of DAD's. We also had Greg Weintraub, captain of the Boston Marathon Joslin Team, come speak and tell us how he trains for such a physically demanding challenge while managing his sugars. Additionally, we have walked in the JDRF OneWalk in Boston for almost 3 years in a row now as a chapter.
