Sarah Fech-Baughman is the Director of Litigation at the American Diabetes Association. She obtained her law degree, cum laude, from American University’s Washington College of Law in 2012. In her work at the Association, she assists attorneys across the country who are representing individuals with diabetes in discrimination matters. This includes students seeking accommodations from their schools and Universities. She has seen firsthand the reluctance of professors and administrators to understand and grant the accommodations that students with diabetes need to succeed, and is looking forward to the opportunity to develop guidance that will further support the needs of students in the postsecondary world.
