My name is Rachel Selinger and I am a pharmacist and CDE at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Campus Health Pharmacy. I attended UNC Chapel Hill for both my undergrad degree in Biology and my Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and I have worked in community pharmacies, community health organizations for the medically underserved, family medicine clinics, and I’ve been serving the campus community for the past 4 years. In addition to being a practicing pharmacist in our health center, I am also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and I am one of the advisors for our campus group for diabetes advocacy, Heels and Hearts. I am an active member in both the national and local chapters of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and a medical volunteer for the ADA Camp Carolina Trails each summer. While there are many reasons I’m looking forward to serving on the CDN Campus Advisory Committee, I am most excited to connect with other college health professionals with a passion for helping students with diabetes excel in the university environment to share and disseminate best practices.
