Dr. Jennifer Saylor is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Delaware. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. She has 20 years of nursing practice in acute and primary care. Dr. Saylor received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Allegheny University in Philadelphia in 1998 and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Delaware in 2001. Dr. Saylor earned her PhD in 2011 from University of Maryland in Baltimore. She is the President for the Beta Xi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing. Also, for the past eight years, Dr. Saylor has served as the Director of Kamp for Kids: Diabetes and You, which is a diabetes camp for children. This is not only a week long day-camp for children and their siblings/friends, but also is incorporated into a nursing elective course for undergraduate students. Dr. Saylor hopes to bring the nursing aspect as well as the college faculty perspective to the Campus Advisory Committee. She is so excited and honored to be on the Campus Advisory Committee, where together we can make a difference and improve the health of young adults with type one diabetes as they transition to college and adulthood.
