Devon Constable

Program Coordinator

I was diagnosed with type one diabetes on October 12, 2007. I became involved with the diabetes community when I founded the Towson University CDN chapter, and I’ve loved CDN ever since! I was born and raised in the Baltimore area, and graduated from Towson University with a B.S. in English and a double minor in marketing and museum studies. I’m super excited to be on the CDN team as a Program Assistant and work with all of CDN’s amazing chapters and help them with anything they need!

Age diagnosed: 11 years old

What she likes to do: Travel, watch documentaries, listen to podcasts, and go to concerts.

Favorite thing about diabetes: The amazing people I’ve met through being involved with the diabetes community!

Least favorite thing about diabetes: Having to emphasize the difference between T1D and T2D, and explaining them.

Biggest T1D struggle while in college: Meeting all kinds of new people and having to explain why my insulin pump isn’t a pager or walkie-talkie.
