Health Insurance

Health insurance is nuanced and difficult to understand at times – so don’t worry, it’s not just you that needs some help with it here and there. It’s really important to get this figured out before you leave for school – that way, you can focus on class, friends, and fun once you get there!

Family Plan

If you’re moving out of state, call your insurance company to find out if you’ll still be eligible for coverage once you move. Some companies will not cover you if you move out of the state that your policy-holder is in. If that’s the case, don’t panic. You can get Student Health Insurance from your college.

Student Health Insurance

Most colleges offer students health insurance. Whether you’ll be covered under a caregivers or not, it may not be a bad idea to look into the rates/coverage that your school’s insurance plan offers, as they might be cheaper/more comprehensive than that of your family’s. Call your school’s Student Health Services office today to find out more about what kind of insurance they offer students.
