College Diabetes Network Announces Partnership with AgaMatrix

BOSTON, MA: The College Diabetes Network (CDN) is pleased to announce that AgaMatrix, a leader in creating connected solutions for blood glucose monitoring, has joined CDN as a Corporate Member.

Young adults with diabetes are in the perfect storm of circumstances: leaving home, growing up, and laying the foundation for the rest of their lives.  They are also the next generation of diabetes leaders. CDN is an innovative organization which supports young adults through every stage of their transition to adulthood. CDN accomplishes this by connecting young adults with their peers to share real experiences and developing vital programing to provide continuity of support.

From the development of the first FDA approved glucose meter to directly connect to the iPhone® and the AgaMatrix Diabetes Manager App, to their latest Jazz Wireless 2 Bluetooth® glucose meter, AgaMatrix products are designed to improve the quality of diabetes care by combining their proprietary technology with connectivity to mobile and cloud platforms.

“We are excited to partner with The College Diabetes Network, a local organization that has grown to have a nationwide reach, and support the impact they have on students while on campus and beyond,” said Juleen Ginty, Marketing Manager at AgaMatrix. “Having a connection to other students, along with mentors and guides to help navigate the transitions in college, is a vital tool in maintaining healthy diabetes management habits. We see this partnership with CDN as a great opportunity to introduce more young adults to our connected monitoring solutions, as well as to provide valuable insight into the integrations and affordability that young adults seek during college and early in their careers.”

“We are excited to welcome AgaMatrix as a CDN Corporate Member,” said Christina Roth, CDN’s CEO and Founder. “While we cannot expect young adults to jump directly into perfect diabetes management practices while navigating the first few years of independence, we can give them the tools to make it easier. It is CDN’s commitment to help this population gain awareness and access to the ever-expanding therapy options for people living with diabetes.”

About CDN’s Corporate Member Program

CDN created a Corporate Membership program in an effort to build a sustainable business model to support its programs, and as a way to engage industry partners in building an “ecosystem” of support for young adults. Corporate Membership provides industry partners a way to better connect with and understand young adults with diabetes. In addition, engaging with industry partners allows CDN to bring the voice of young adults with diabetes directly to the decision makers within these companies. CDN’s Corporate Membership structure was built carefully, and transparency is a key consideration for CDN and its partners.
