Campus Advisory Committee
The Campus Advisory Committee is comprised of campus professionals in various campus departments committed to:
1.) The creation and dissemination of guidelines and suggestions for Accessibility Services pertaining to what fair and applicable accommodations might look like for a student with T1D.
2.) The creation and dissemination of materials to students and professors pertaining to disclosing and explaining the accommodations in a way that puts the student on a level playing field with their peers while remaining within the realm of feasibility for the professor.
3.) The creation and dissemination of materials to all three parties on the psychosocial implications of T1D along with the physiological impacts to better outline the need for accommodations to ensure smooth enactment and fair treatment of these students.
Because of the Campus Advisory Committee, CDN has piloted a campus toolkit program to address these gaps.
