Anna has had T1D for 30 years and comes to CDN after 5 years as the Associate Director for Patient Engagement at the T1D Exchange where she focused on maintaining connectivity between clinics and patient-centered research opportunities for people affected by type 1 diabetes. She has served on multiple national and international committees for non profit organizations and spoken world wide. Anna spent the majority of her childhood and young adult summers with the Barton Center for Diabetes Education, and continues to serve on the local board of AADE, as well as the JDRF psychosocial speakers bureau. Most importantly however, recently gave birth to a baby girl in the summer of 2017 and lives outside Boston with her husband and new daughter.

What she likes to do: crossfit, maps, the weather, and exploring new hikes, restaurants, and recipes.
Favorite thing about diabetes: The awesome people I've met along the way-specifically at summer camp.
Least favorite thing about diabetes: Pump site changes and all the plastic pieces involved with it-one device please ;)
Biggest T1D struggle while in college: Alcohol, balancing all of its complexities with diabetes, food and overall college mayhem.
